College student killed in Waterloo crash

One college student was killed, and two others were injured when car crash on Route 96.

The crash, which occurred in Seneca County near Waterloo, happened at the intersection of Route 96 and Brewer Road. The car containing the three students was traveling North on Brewer Road when it arrived at the intersection. According to reports, it ran a stop sign before colliding with a dump truck and another vehicle.

Police arrived to find the student in the backseat, 18, dead at the scene; the driver,18, and a front seat passenger, 19, were injured and transported to a local hospital. No one else was harmed.

A police investigation remains underway.
